About Us

UK Championships Ltd is a family run business based in the Midlands. The company was formed in 2005 by our Managing Director, Paul Matthews, a passionate amateur golfer himself.

Through his own experience of amateur golf events, Paul recognized the need for a new style of competition catering for genuine enthusiasts of all levels wanting the opportunity to play in professionally run competitions on both a local and national level.

Previous Tournaments

In 2006, the first tournament was played by amateur golfers from all over the UK. The competition received high praise from players and industry alike and was recommended by Peter Alliss in his BBC coverage of the BMW Championships in May 2006.

Our Aim

Our aim is simply to be the best amateur golf tournament in the UK. We endeavor to provide a fair playing field for all levels of player and to provide a competition that is what the players themselves want. To achieve this, we consult with a panel of players and experts on every aspect of the tournament, to ensure that the competition always meets our and your high standards.

We employ a policy of continuous improvement and are very excited to share with you all the new enhancements to the format for the 2007 tournaments. As always, we welcome your feedback and look forward to another exciting year.
