Standard Scratch Adjustment
In order to take in to account the difficulty of the courses on which matches are played, the scores from each match are adjusted by considering the Standard Scratch Score (SSS) for the tees used. The formula used for the adjustment is:
League Score = Stableford Points + SSS - Par
County and National League Scoring
The adjusted score from each match is entered in to the county and national leagues (national leagues have handicap divisions). A players league position is determined by his average score for the matches played.
For example a player (or pair) scoring 33, 34 and 37 Stableford points after playing 3 matches, would have an average league score of 34.66 (i.e. 33 + 34 + 37 divided by 3 = 34.66). The average scores are displayed in the league tables as each tournament progresses as are the number of remaining matches for each player or pair.

match Winners League Scoring
When a league match is played, the winners score, i.e. the highest Stableford score, is entered into a match winners league table. These are in effect 'bonus' leagues (one for each match played) which players are entered in to as a reward for winning their matches.
The winning score will be subject to the SSS adjustment as described above and then entered in to the relevant national winners league table for their division.
In order to qualify for entry in to the match winners league, the match must be won outright i.e drawn matches do not qualify.
