What is a County Union?

Your golf club must be affiliated to a ‘County Golf Union’ (or association) . This refers to a Golf Union with specific clubs affiliated to it within a Geographical area – usually a county, but occasionally a group of neighbouring counties. Each of your matches will be played against other amateur golfers whose clubs are affiliated to the same County Golf Union.

The scores from your matches will be adjusted using the league scoring system and entered into your league table along with the scores of all the other players in your County Union.

Winners

Each County Union League will have 1 winner (or winning pair): The player(s) with the highest score after all 4 matches are complete.

PLAYING MATCHES

Although your scores will compete against every player from your County Union, you will not meet with and physically play against all the players in your league. You will meet and play 4 other players (or pairs) from your County Union and your scores will compete against the scores of every other player from your County Union.
