Handicap Divisions
The UK Championships Golf League Handicap Division system applies to both the National, and the Winners Leagues. In both cases there will be 4 handicap divisions for each League. These divisions will be determined on a tournament by tournament basis at the close of entry for each tournament.
The divisions will be determined by dividing the total number of players into quartiles (4 divisions each with the same number of players.)
Distribution of Handicaps
The handicap ranges within each of the 4 divisions will vary according to the distribution of handicaps entering for the tournament in question. If, for example, there were an equal distribution of handicaps between 0 and 24, the handicap divisions would be as follows:

If there is an uneven distribution of handicaps, the upper and lower limits of each division will be adjusted in order to ensure there are an equal number of players within each division.
Handicap Adjustments
Your Handicap division will be assigned at the outset of the tournament based upon the handicap declared on your tournament entry form.
Adjustments to your handicap thereafter will be taken into account for playing purposes but you will not change division after the tournament has started. You will remain in your original handicap division for the duration of the tournament to ensure that each division retains an equal number of players.
